Even you wondered how much experience you actually need to get started as digital marketer.
In this article, elaborating on my personal experience as a digital marketer working my way up in the industry, why everyone to think about becoming T-shirt marketer and what is 10,000 hour rule and whether matters and how so many others, was able to use all of this to become a self taught digital marketer in the industry.
I mean in this article to break down the skills that truly matter in the fast paced world for digital marketing, so you can become one even faster.
All right let's get to it.
THE 10,000 HOUR RULE DOES IT WORKS?
I want to first talk about this concept of the 10,000 hour rule that I first come across in Malcolm Caldwell's book the outliers, and it's this idea that it makes roughly 10,000 hour of practice to achieve mastery and your field, and that really made me reflect on how much does it apply to my personal experience in digital marketing especially as I mentioned, that I completely self taught my self throughout years every since the first time I got started, and thinking back to when I just follow my curiosity, learn as much as possible in a shortest time possible, So here's heartbreak hotel.
So in my opinion 10,000 hours is very long time it breaks down to roughly 250 weeks which then breaks out into 4.8 years, although I think anyone with 4.8 years of regular practice and you think probably will be a mestery in that field, I think digital marketing is completely different Story and I think the success in any industry is really about thinking outside the box and how can we achieve the fastest results in the shortest time possible.

QUALITY VS QUANTITY
And now in this part, I really want to dive into the reality behind going for broad experience versus very folks experience, which is what I like to call quality versus quantity dilemma.
CHOOSING YOUR DIGITAL MARKETING NICHE
When I got started, I really wanted to focus on social media because that was the area that I was most interested and that interest really shows because I spend my spare time in the evenings and weekends, while I was doing my job in the daytime to learn as much as possible about different social media platforms, and become the best student that I could be on those platforms.
